No Bollywood filmmaker or music company will work with Pakistani artistes: Ashoke Pandit
The dastardly attack on a security convoy in the Pulwama district of Jammu and Kashmir on Thursday sent shockwaves across the nation. The attack, which was orchestrated by the Pakistan-sponsored terrorist organisation Jaish-e-Mohammad, has claimed the lives of at least 40 Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) troopers and grievously injured several others.
A solidarity march at Film City in Goregaon was attended by members of 24 film associations, including Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) and Indian Film and Television Directors' Association (IFTDA).
The protest saw participation from major film bodies and the association of cinematographers, make-up men, costumes, junior artists, editors, fighters and dancers.

President of IFTDA, Ashoke Pandit, vehemently opposed the inclusion of any Pakistani actors in Bollywood films. He also said that music companies will no longer sign contracts with Pakistani singers.
"No Bollywood filmmaker will take any Pakistani artiste in his film. Even music companies will stop working with Pakistani singers," Pandit told India Today Television.
"If any filmmaker or music company does not listen to the FWICE, we will stop the shooting of any film with Pakistani artistes and vandalise its sets," he warned.
Meanwhile, the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) warned music companies to drop songs by Pakistani singers and not work with them in the future. "T-Series has already removed Pakistani artistes' videos from their various channels from February 15 and has decided to ban them all in future. Ditto with other music companies," Amey Khopkar, President of MNS Chitrapat Sena, told IANS.
